Group Classes at SymFit®


 

A SymFit® workout addresses all the components of physical wellness and fitness in a scientific way to ensure you improve your fitness level at the same time as you break faulty loading patterns that cause pain.  After your orientation phase (Week 1 and 2) you will begin taking entry level SymFit1 classes.  At this point you will be independent in how to use all pieces of the pilates equipment to complete your pre and post class studio program.  Each workout at SymFit®  consists of the following;

  • Pre-treatment functional mobility program
  • Joint clearing with a SymFit® physical therapist to ensure you have performed your self-correction techniques properly and that you do not have any joint mis-alignments before class
  • Post-treatment neutral spine conditioning studio program to prepare your core for group class
  • 25 to 30 minutes hybrid pilates class on studio reformers (Allegro's).  each class starts with a review of SymFit® neutral spine exercise and concludes with 1 SymFit® functional conditioning exercises to ensure you are performing your home exercise program properly.  The remainder of class consists of Polestar Pilates repertoire on the Allegro.
  • Post-class sport conditioning studio program if prescribed
  • Joint alignment confirmation upon request to ensure you did not throw your low back, pelvis or shoulder out of alignment during your workout

Studio Program
You will have access to Pilates equipment before and after class to compliment your workout experience at SymFit® PT and Fitness.  

Pre-treatment
Studio Exercises




Starting on your second visit you will be show exercises to be perform before your scheduled appointment to prepare you for manual therapy.  As you progress into group classes the key to keeping your cost downs is reducing your time with the therapist.  When you are independent with the SymFit® Pre-treatment studio exercises and you need less than 5 minutes of private time with the therapist receiving manual therapy we progress you into group class memberships.  

All studio programs are accessible by level within the My Workouts section your program section on this site.

As you progress through the program your confirmed appointment time will move from top of the hour to 10 minutes after the hour to just before class which start sharply 30 minutes after the hour.  You are encouraged to come at the top of the hour even when in memberships to allow sufficient time to perform your pre-treatment studio program.  

Post-treatment (pre-class)
Studio Exercises




Starting on your third visit you will be show exercises to be perform after manual therapy to wake up your core to prepare you for group class.  Before an upper body conditioning class your post-treatment studio exercises will be focused on the shoulder and upper back stabilizers.  Before a lower body conditioning class your post-treatment studio exercises will wake up your core.
