SymFit2 (Phase 2):Functional Fitness (Workouts 9 + 10)

SymFit3 is a cross training workout that consists of 4 SymFit exercise series performed in a circuit at a cardio pace.  There are 4 different SymFit3 workouts designed to accomplish complete fitness.   Each workout starts at level 3 of the SymFit® Healthy Fitness System and progressed to level 6 or the level that allows you to maintain your target heart rate for 25 minutes non-stop.  

Goal: Complete Fitness by adding cardiovascular and respiratory challenges!

Mon. + Thurs. morning at 7:30
Mon. + Thurs. mid day at 11:30
Tues. + Fri. mid day at 12:30
Tues. + Fri. mid day at 3:30
Tues. + Thurs. evenings at 6:30

Workout #11:
Functional Arms
Welcome to the Gun Show!

This class will include 2 arm exercises with 1 core and 1 leg exercise.  Your fifth set of this circuit class will have your delts and triceps burning.  This class will condition you for overhead sport and recreational activities without faulty loading through the neck and shoulder.

Music:  We will mix the GNR Pandora station with "The Boss" to keep the energy high throughout this workout.

Post-class Compliment:  If we do a lot of triceps you should perform the SymFit® Bicep Series after this class; if we do a lot of biceps perform the SymFit® Tricep Series.

Workout #12:
Functional Legs
Legs, Legs, Legs

This class will include 2 leg exercises with 1 core and 1 upper body exercise. Your fifth set of this circuit class will have you weak in the knees.  This class will condition you for safe ankle, knee and hip loading during sport and recreational activities.

Music:  You will likely here some ZZ Top and Motley Crue as we mix the "Hair Band" Pandora station with "Southern Rock" station during this leg intensive class.

Post-class Workout: If we do a lot of triceps you should perform the SymFit® Bicep Series after this class; if we do a lot of biceps perform the SymFit® Tricep Series.


Workout #13:
Functional Abs
Abs of Stone

This class will include 2 core (abdominal) exercises with 1 upper and 1 lower body exercise. Your fifth set of this circuit class will have hesitant to laugh. This workout will condition you to maintain neutral low back (lumbar spine) alignment during sport and recreational activities.

Music:  The song Core may Creep into the soundtrack of this class as we combine STP and Tom Petty Pandora stations.  

Post-class Workout: If we do a lot of upper body you should perform the SymFit® Lunge or Squat Series after this class.
Workout #14:
Functional Balance
Balance for Injury Prevention

This class will includes a balance/coordination challenge along with 1 arm exercises, 1 core and 1 leg exercise.  Improving your balance and coordination with functional movements will help strengthen your sub-conscious connection to neutral during sport and recreational activities. 

Music:  This is an upbeat class and because we may throw some old school step into it anything from the 80's record collection if fair game. 

Post-class Workout: If we do a Push-ups you should perform the SymFit® Tricep Series after this class. If we do dips you should perform the SymFit® Push-up Series
