Commonly Asked Questions:
What is Pilates?  Pilates is an exercise system that emphasizes movement from neutral spine alignment.  It can be done on specific equipment or as a mat based workout.  Please visit for more details.

Why Pilates?  Pilates equipment offers spring based resistance which provides a unique challenge to movement.  A spring is unstable in all three planes of motion and controlling it requires movement control which comes from neutral spine alignment.  So, it facilitates your application of the 4 SymFit® Principles of Neutral Spine Alignment.  It is the safest fitness progress resistance system that conditions you to perform your daily activities without faulty loading.  It is also customizable for individual needs.  Post-surgical management is most effective with a Pilates based rehabilitation approach as it takes advantage of the time when the surgical site cannot be stressed by laying down a neutral spine base.
